I was the youngest of a large family who all danced and sang and played music. Somehow I got left on the sidelines, but I loved to play the piano and to sing even at an early age. I sang in choirs throughout school and put on shows with my friends and studied drama for a while. I grew up around the theatre and I would have loved to become an actress but I was very emotionally vulnerable as a young person and too full of self-doubt to pursue anything. I stuck with the academic instead because it was somehow safer.
Much later I moved to the South East of England. I was involved with few bands in London on the Goth scene and got to support some of my favourite acts and to sing abroad. I had never had singing lessons but had a naturally powerful voice with a good range so when I got the chance I trained for a while in light opera with a fantastic teacher and what she taught me was so valuable. Once again life intervened and my world fell apart so all my energy had to go into rebuilding again.
Finding Second Life was an eye-opener for me. I spent 4 years as a dance performer and choreographer and enjoyed every minute of it, but would see singers in SL and think "Wow! I would love to try that!". Eventually I was talked into it by Hellig Melson, a long time friend. I hadn't sung for quite a long time due to illness and so this foray into the SL music scene was so exciting for me. People have been so supportive, so thank you everyone!
I find singing very therapeutic in so many ways and it has improved my health massively. I hope to go on rediscovering areas of my voice that I had lost. My range and stability is improving day by day.
I was asked by The Notebook Society "Tell us something unique about you"
Well, I co-wrote 2 songs with Steve Carey of The Eden House, which have never been released...and was also the first person to sing a new work by Argentinian-born composer Polo Piatti.
